MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Haile Gebrselassie has won the 10-kilometer Great Manchester Run.
The 36-year-old Ethiopian finished in 27 minutes, 39 seconds on Sunday, missing out on breaking the 27:21 course record set by Kenya's Micah Kogo in 2007.
Ali Mabrouk El Zaidi of Libya was second in 28:13.
Gebrselassie lost his world 10K road mark in March when Kogo ran in 27:01 in the Netherlands.
