July 26, 2017 - The Ethiopian Athletics Federation (EAF) announced a 40-member team that will represent the country at the 16th edition of the IAAF World Championships scheduled to take place next month in London, UK, according to FBC report.
The long-distance runner and current world and Olympic records holder in both 5,000m and 10,000m events, Kenenisa Bekele, excluded himself from the selection due to current form.
“I’m not fit enough to compete at the event,” Kenenisa was quoted by the EAF as saying.
